The Best Moms On The Internet

Looking for some new places on the internet to make part of your weekly routine? I have been over Facebook and Pinterest for some time now, and have found some favorite websites that give me laughter, inspiration, and encouragement after my son heads off to bed. If you are looking for some new internet pals, here are some of my favorites.

Kelle Hampton
Check out her blog for all things photography, kids, and special needs parenting. While she can be a little sentimental for my taste sometimes, I love her positive outlook and vulnerability when writing about her little ones. I haven’t regretted joining her on her motherhood journey.

Glennon Melton at Momastery
Momastery is the perfect blend of truth, vulnerability, encouragement and laughs. I love the blogs and I have rallied with other readers to meet needs of other families. If you have ever thought you were the only person who was screwing up the sex talk with your tween or the only mom who has been depressed, you will find community and love here.

Kristen Howerton
Mom to both biological and adopted kiddos, Kristen tackles all sorts of serious topics on her blog. When she doesn’t write a post, she has guest writers tell readers about important issues from special needs parenting to race issues. She is a breath of fresh air who uses honesty to kick stereotypes to the curb. Plus, she’s funny.

Ree Drummond
It’s the Pioneer Woman, y’all! If you can’t find her photos and personal stories endearing enough, I dare you to find a better recipe for a cinnamon roll or beef stew. I love checking out her site with my grocery store circular while planning our weekly meals. She’s lovely and her food is delicious.

Sherry Peterson
Sherry and John, the married couple behind YoungHouseLove no longer actively blog because they are off doing more important things like parenting their two young kiddos. However, I still find myself on their DIY and design site on a regular basis searching for organization ideas or laughing at their witty posts.

Next naptime, skip loading the dishwasher and folding laundry. Instead, grab a cup of coffee and meet a few of these ladies.

About This Blogger: Haley Burress
Haley Burress is the proud Mama of Jackson, a 4 year old who was conceived after 4 years of injections, procedures, and more early morning internal ultrasounds than she cares to count. She spends her time writing for parents and educators while her son is at preschool or napping. Haley lives in the northwest Chicago suburbs with her (handsome) Principal husband, son, and a fish named Blue that somehow has not died in the past year. She’s a Christian, an introvert, and a wanna-be yogi. You can usually find her reading a good book, dancing in the kitchen while cooking dinner, falling on her face while attempting crow pose on her yoga mat, and hiding in the bathroom eating a brownie so she doesn’t have to share.
